Newsletter

WELCOME to our newly launched website and our very first newsletter! Our aim is to let you know all about our practice, new developments and all the latest information and technology in the world of Dentistry. As we are novices at this sort of thing, any comments or suggestions on how to improve and make our newsletter and website more enjoyable to read would be greatly welcomed!

We permanently update the practice with the latest up to date news and equipment. We have an RVG system linked up with our present computer system, which allows us to take Digital x-rays of patients and stores them as images onto the patient's own confidential, personal record. There are many advantages in using the RVG as opposed to the way of taking conventional x-rays using small films. Firstly, with digital x-rays the patient's exposure to radiation is 9/10th's lower than with the conventional method. Also we have the ability to magnify the images of the teeth on the computer to enable us to check for many things such as early decay, infections and fracture lines. Overall this way is not only beneficial not only to us but to all our patients as well.

Another new piece of equipment we have is 'The Wand', Which is a computerised controlled way of giving local anaesthetic. It has been very welcomed by all our patients (especially the more nervous ones) and we have waited patiently for 3 years to buy one as they originated in the USA and were only launched here in the UK at the start of this year.

We hope you enjoy reading our website as much as we have enjoyed forming it. Our first article is on our new acquisition 'The Wand', ENJOY!

Fear.
Not!

New Technology Conquers the Pain & Anxiety of Injections

Computer Controlled Anesthetic Delivery

"I didn't feel a thing."

The microprocessor inside The WAND automatically ensures a steady flow rate regardless of tissue density. Constant, slow flow is one key to virtually pain-free injections.

The computer provides a flow of anesthetic directly ahead of the needle. This creates a pathway of anesthesia so you hardly feel the needle at all.

The source of discomfort for most injections, however, isn't the needle, it's the flow of the anesthetic into your tissue. The WAND delivers the anesthetic at an optimal flow rate for a comfortable injection.

We've taken the Fear, Anxiety and Pain out of Dental Anesthetic Injections

We know that some patients get more nervous than others do at the mere sight of a needle and syringe. Thats why this office now performs anesthetic injections with a revolutionary system called The WAND.

It doesn't look like a syringe.
It doesn't feel like a syringe.

The WAND allows injections that do not numb the lips, face and muscles of expression.
Whether injections make you nervous or not, The WAND helps us provide a more effective anesthetic delivery and the onset of anesthesia is often faster. You're more comfortable throughout the procedure, and we may be able to use new techniques so you won't experience the lingering numbness of your tongue, lips and face.

A more pleasant dental experience
The WAND is an excellent example of our efforts to bring you the latest dental technology, and to help all of our patients have a pleasant, positive visit to our office. Feel free to ask us if you'd like to know more about this remarkable new system.

The WAND...the revolutionary new computer controlled local anesthetic injection system that helps conquer fear, pain and anxiety.

A microprocessor controls the flow rate/volume ratio to ensure safe, virtually painless profound anesthesia.
