The prevention of advancing disease only option
Lygumist professionally monitors the width of gums & administers treatment

Infection Control

We take great care over Infection Control both for our own and our patients' benefit. Wherever possible we use disposable equipment and materials that are removed and incinerated by a specialist waste control company.
Non disposable equipment is placed in an up to date Autoclave for sterilisation. The process of Autoclaving is the utilisation of both temperature and pressure to destroy Bacterial infection. For the technically-minded, the sterilisation takes 16-minutes 20-seconds at a pressure of 2.2 bars and a temperature of 135.9 degrees centigrade.

In the surgery we also take great care to ensure there is no chance of cross infection to our patients or to ourselves. We always wear gloves and glasses and the patients always have glasses to wear. If you have any questions to ask about our procedures please do not hesitate to contact us.
